About ebooks

eBooks come in a variety of formats and not all ebook readers (ereaders) are able to read all formats.

The books published here (and available on the downloads page) are available in two formats:

• ePUB format – an emerging standard
• PDF – portable document format

The ebooks offered by us conform to the ePUB 2.0 standard. ePUB 3.0 has been agreed but until there is more experience with this enhanced standard we do not intend to move to ePUB 3.0, particularly as it is not certain when all ereader software or devices will be able to handle ePUB 3.0.

PDF

PDF documents are intended for printing, however they can be read on many devices. To read a PDF document on your computer or to be able to print it you need to have Adobe Reader installed.
